Still in his late twenties, Jon Mapp has already carved out a reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting bassists. His creative playing blends jazz improvisation with soul sensibility, and an inventive use of techniques and electronica-inspired effects, providing an underlying energy and excitement to any group. Based in London, Mapp is the bassist for soul singer Myles Sanko, and can be heard on the latest release Just Being Me (2016) and on tour with Myles.
